Story of the wine:
The Verdejo grape is best known in Rueda but is also grown in Spain’s vast central region of La Mancha. The Campos Reales vineyards are at higher altitude and surrounded by forests and have cooler summers and night temperatures, which suits white wines. The Denominación de Origen vineyards of La Mancha cover a larger area than all of Australia’s vineyards put together! The Gladium is a Roman sword found in archaeological excavations near the winery’s vineyards.
